Accessibility statement

Our aim

This site targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA. It has not yet been independently audited.

What we've done

• Keyboard: links, buttons and forms work with a keyboard, focus is visible, and a skip link leads to the main content.
• Reduced motion: the site follows your device's reduced-motion setting, and the Motion switch in the menu and footer turns animation off on any device. Nothing takes over scrolling.
• No JavaScript needed: every page can be read, navigated and subscribed to with JavaScript turned off.
• Contrast: text colours are checked against the Level AA contrast ratios.
• Evidence states in words: OBSERVED, DERIVED, ESTIMATED and UNKNOWN are always written out, never shown by colour alone.
• Reflow: pages fit a screen 320 pixels wide without sideways scrolling.
• Print: pages have a print layout.

Known limitations

• The site hasn't yet been tested by hand with screen readers. Automated checks run on every page type, but they can't catch everything.
• The site hasn't been independently audited.
